NOLENE BURNETT – SOUTH AFRICA (DT CO-ORDINATOR)

Hello, my name is Nolene Burnett and I live in Cape Town, South Africa with my husband and 9-year old daughter. I started scrapbooking in 2008 and have since been learning new techniques and the application of new products, while developing my style and growing as an artist. My daughter is usually the source of my inspiration and she is featured on 90% of my projects. I found the Lord and accepted Him as my personal savior in 1996. I met my husband in church and we have been married since 1998. I love worshiping God and have always felt called to worship as a ministry. I love my Lord and want to worship and serve Him any way possible. I have always wanted to do that in some creative way and feel that this is my opportunity to do so.

ANA PAULA – BRAZIL

My name is Ana Paula, I’m from Brazil and I'm 30 years old, married and we have two beautiful children, a couple, as always dreamed and I'm very grateful to God for their lives, because they inspire me every day to believe in the miracle called life.
I met Scrapbook last year, in October 2013, in an attempt to assemble a party to celebrate 4 years of my firstborn, the Davi.
Since then I met this art so beautiful and wonderful won my heart every piece of paper.
I can say that is a gift that God gave me, but it was only now revealed for me.
Every day I fall in love more and more by Scrapbook, I don’t have any secrets to develop my projects, I just ask God to manifest His glory in every detail and that through my art people can feel the love that He has for each one and He remains the centre of my life, leading me and inspiring me, because I know that with Him I can do all things because He has strengthened me and nothing has missed me and that everything I do is just to glorify His name.
I can say that I am "newbie" in the scrapbook, but I do everything with love and dedication and I thank God for this beautiful opportunity to show my work here on this blog that exists to honor and glorify His Holy name and I feel honored to debut like Desing as a Christian blog.
I hope to inspire you with my projects as I have been inspired by so many scrappers who has inspired me in this short time I'm doing Scrapbook.
Kisses and hugs and many scrap with love, Ana Paula!

DIANE MARRA – USA

Diane is a mixed media self-taught artist, journaler and instructor.  God moved her from journaling words on His pages, to expressing His presence through color and mixed media. Diane approaches Him broken and He fills her with ideas, symbols and pictures to create for Him.  In her work and her workshops you will find emotions are expressed, messages are formed, healing takes place and the beauty of His message becomes a tool of transformation.  All of her work is designed to bring Him glory and honor as she tries to listen to His voice and create! Her work and workshops encompass  Heart Prayers, faithart journaling, scrapbooking, tag faithart, canvas and mixed media. She is available for workshops, retreats and speaking engagements.

HELEN GULLETT – USA

I am married to an amazing, loving husband and we are blessed with 2 active and sweet daughters. Recently we live in Ohio since 2008 and in preparation to move overseas for a long term ministry. We are so excited with this opportunity God has opened for us. As family, we love to hang out, going camping, hiking and travelling. I also like music, books, blogging, coffee, chocolate and ethic food.
I started scrapbooking in 2008. I made a scrap-journal for our wedding and short mission trip story :) And then after our first daughter was born, I started her first year scrapbook album in 12x12 size. Then in late 2010, I discovered digital scrapbooking which I love! Since then I scrap both paper and digital ways.
I fell in love with making cards in 2011 when I made invitations for our daughter's 2nd birthday party. Since then I have been making cards for friends and families. Enjoying every process of it.
Crafting together with my daughters is my favorite thing to do almost every day! My church friends and I love getting together for craft night out - it's kinda like our ladies night out. We get together to share new crafty ideas and making them together, this when we teach each other and having fun!
Let's get connected on Blog, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, FlickrPinterest and Scrap Stack. Thank You!! :)

KATY DONALDSON TAYLORUSA

I am married to my soul mate.  I'm a mother to three sons that keep me busy and a daughter that keeps life interesting.  I'm a working mother by day and a paper crafter by night.  I've been crafty since I was a little girl...spending Spring Breaks and Summers with my grandmothers who were artists in their own way.  I grew up sitting in the pews of old Country Churches, drawing on the bulletins.  I officially started scrapbooking in high school which was very primitive to say the least.  I've been a Close To My Heart Consultant for 12 years and love it! On weeknights and weekends, in the midst of all the chaos, you can find me in my scrapbook room getting creative!

LEAH BURGETT – USA

Hello everyone! My name is Leah Burgett.  I live in a small town outside of Birmingham, Alabama. I am married to a wonderful man, who supports my hobby of scrapbooking.  I have an amazing son, Noah who is the light of my life and my precious gift from God. I work as an aide with special needs children in an elementary school.  I am a Christian.  I believe that everyday God teaches me and lifts me up.  My favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6:  "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths."

PATSY PATERNO – PHILIPPINES

My full name is Patricia Joy Paterno, and I’ve been married for 20 years to a man with a good heart. His name is Luigi, and he is an IT Consultant. We have one son, Josh, who is as funny as his dad. I have been working in our family business, papemelroti, since I was 11. When I get home from work, I stay in my craft room and paint, make scrapbook layouts, ATCs, and think of ways to re-use things normal people would throw away. I like sharing my joy and have paint parties for my friends!

ALICIA REDSHAW – AUSTRALIA (DT MEMBER AND CARD SKETCH DESIGNER)

Hi my name is Alicia Redshaw and I live in Gladstone, Queensland (Australia). I am married to the most amazing man (Quentin), and we recently celebrated 21 years of love, happiness and being together. We share three beautiful and talented children, who are our reason for living the life we live.  I have been scrapbooking for over 12 years, and teaching Scrapbooking and Card making for nearly as long.  For the last three to four years I have also been teaching Copic colouring and Mixed Media Art Classes too.  I create a range of projects and styles from simple cards to grungy scrapbook layouts to mixed media art canvas’ and almost everything in-between.  I am thankful everyday for the blessings of my family and my creativity.

BEV CODE – CANADA (LAYOUT SKETCH DESIGNER)

I was new to online scrapping since Apr 2009. There are so many sites. My name is Bev Code and I have been scrapping about 5 years. I am a wife, mother and gramma that loves being retired and now have time to scrap to my heart's content. I love scrapbooking along with fun things it entails with online friends, forums and FB. The learning process has been interesting and creative also. Other crafts I love also are needlepoint, sewing, knitting, crochet and taking lots of photos. Family and friends are the subjects of my scrapping along with nature, ancestry and vacation sites. I live in Conestogo, Ontario and spend some time in Florida where I take my scrapping with me for the extended time. I am super excited to join this fabulous group and share my sketches. Can't wait to get to know everyone better.

ALLISON VAN DER MERWE – SOUTH AFRICA (INSPIRATIONAL WRITER)

With God's grace I am here today.  Everyday is a challenge to live the life He wants us to live. Every day is a new day, a new sheet to do good in His eyes. My desire is to one day stand before my Father with joy and love in my heart. To finally meet Him.  To hold on to Him with arms and hands so tight like a child holding on to her daddy♥♥♥.  One day ...

And that’s our team. We hope to inspire you with our work and our love for Christ.

Please watch this space for more exciting announcements to come soon!

Heartfelt Inspiration with Helen

Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 5:6-11)

These are the truth, great reminder and practical instruction of how we, as Jesus' followers and believers, should live out our lives. And God's promise of deliverance when we submit to Him and His Lordship and mighty hands.
Humble ourselves. Why? The answer is simple. It is because we are just human, made out of dust. We are nothing out of Him.
I am nothing without Jesus.
I thought I could do things then I failed. Often I forget that He is the one that I need be He has created me and to do what He has called me to do as a wife to my husband, a mother to my daughters, a daughter to my parents, a sister to my younger sisters, a friend to my friends, or just to be someone out there to those who are in need.

Humbling myself under God's mighty hand is not as easy as I read in it in the Bible. Real life example, happened many times, was when I carried all my problem and worried to much. The moment I took my anxieties on myself, that very moment, I put God aside. Nothing I gained by being worry and carry every load on my on.
Jesus invites everyone who has burden to come to Him and He ask us to give Him our own burdens. How's that for a help comes from the Lord? This kind of help we cannot find in this world.

God's mighty hands are there for us. We just need to humble ourselves.

Humbling ourselves under His mighty hands leads to victorious life. That's the promise in 1 Peter 5:7-11. When He has given His promises, He won't let it fail (Isaiah 55:11).

So... would you humble yourself under His mighty hand today?

My prayer for us today that The Holy Spirit will help us and give us the desire in our hearts to enter His presence with humble hearts and seeking Him to have intimate fellowship with the Father.

My Everyday Miracle with Leah

Hello Everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer! As most of you know I work in an elementary school as a teacher's aide with special needs children.  I have the privilege of working with some wonderful Christian women.  Every morning before our day starts we share any praise reports and have prayer.  It is a wonderful, amazing way to start the day.  I asked the ladies to share some of their favorite Bible verses with you.  I used the app InstaQuote on my phone to make the images below.  I have used InstaQuote to make an image like the ones below to send to a friend or to print for my Project Life.  It is a great app!  I hope you enjoy this and have a Blessed day!

Tips, Tricks and Techniques with Cara

My LOVE OF WASHI TAPE continues and I was recently hunting down new ideas on "Pinterest". Paper Crafts Connection online recently had their first round of their "Gallery Idol" and the challenge was to use washi tape...there were so many fabulous ideas that I ended up "pinning".  There are so many talented, creative ladies out there in Crafty-Land!!!

It's the 10TH today...so I'm gonna show you my TOP TEN favorite new WASHI TAPE ideas!
(*None of these creations are mine, just ideas I found...I have given credit by name to each project below the photo)

*Fold washi tape into a circle my creating pleats and use a brad for your center. Finish off with leaves cut from washi tape.

#6

*Put washi tape on vellum, then punch out circles, secure with thread and hang from card to create these free-flowing circle banners.

#3
created by Jax
*Fold washi tape in half & pinch together to make a cute washi bow (add contrasting tape along edge if desired, before pinching) and then roll up some around the middle to finish the bow off.

#2
created by "Jingle"
*Make a washi bead rainbow. Roll 3-1/2" to 4" strips of tape and then cut rolls in half before adhering to card.

#1
created by Savannah O'Gwynn
*Create these cute feathers by securing a piece of wire or twine to the middle of your washi tape strip. Cut the tape into a feather shape, then snip the washi from top to bottom on each side to finish up your feather.
